The Pennsic Progress, the first newspaper of the Pennsic Wars, was produced totally onsite with borrowed mimeograph equipment. The Progress was published onsite for three Pennsics by the same core group of individuals (Gwennan afon Rhedeg, Philippa d'Angleterre (died 1998), Siobhan O'Neill, and Thaddeus the Brown). Thus began the tradition of a newspaper at the Pennsic War, and the legendary wail of "Pennsic Progress, twenty-five cents!" was first heard. (Siobhan O'Neill, 2/20/99)
