According to the paperwork: I was able to find several examples of names from the 15th century that are present in both Russian and Rumanian cultures. . . . While not conclusive there is a correlation given the influence of the cosmospolitan nature of the nearby Hungaria/Polish courts and the similar languages it is possible that a baby boy in Romania in the 15th Century could have been named Boris."
[Movila] -- Acording to the paperwork: "This is the surname of the boyar class Movilesti family that ruled Moldavia from 1595 to 1611. In Romania it means of the hills or knoll.
The device had been returned with the name.

This map has north to the left rather than thetop of the page, so Utrecht is about in the middle of the image (though it is labeled Vtrecht) directly tot he right of the "scroll" of the word "Hollandt". I have printed off a copy of the map zoomed in to Utrecht. The library states that the map dates to 1656."

"<Ugla> is the Old Norse for 'owl' [1]; its genitive (singular & pural is <uglu>, which is also uts usual combining form. <Gar{dh}r> has a variety of meanings, one of which is 'stronghold'. . . . <Uglugar{dh}r is therefore also interpretable as 'stronghold of a man called "Owl"'.
